General Terms and Conditions of Business
1. Area of application
The following General Terms and Conditions of Business regulate the contractual relationship between the participants of the two-day conference jointly staged by SPONSORs Verlags GmbH (referred to hereinafter as the Organizers) (SPONSORs Sports Venue Summit, which will take place on September 1 and 2, 2010, in the Allianz Arena in Munich). Any General Terms and Conditions of Business that are in contradiction of this document do not apply.
2. Registration / Confirmation of registration
You can register via Internet, letter, fax or e-mail. A legally binding contract is concluded through the receipt of your registration form. After receipt of the registration, the Organizers will publish the names of the participants (but not your personal e-mail address!) on the Internet in order to achieve optimal networking. Participants who do not wish to use this service must communicate this fact to the Organizers. Unless you indicate otherwise, after receipt of your registration we will also send you the SPONSORs newsletter free of charge.
3. Services
The participation fee is for one person only and includes the statutory value added tax. The fee covers attendance at the conference, the conference documents, one entry to the ispo sports equipment trade fair and catering throughout the day. The Organizers do not take responsibility for changes to the program, nonappearance of a speaker, or printing errors in the documents. If it is impossible to stage the event on account of acts of nature beyond the Organizers’ control or for important reasons (e.g. illness of the speakers or an insufficient number of participants), the participants will be promptly informed and the participation fee will be refunded. In such a case the participants have no claim to reimbursement for their travel or accommodation costs or for inability to work.
4. Due dates, payment, delayed payment and billing
The confirmation of registration is sent to the participants in the form of a bill, which is to be paid within eight days after receipt. If the payment is delayed, the Organizers reserve the right to impose a reminder charge in the amount of €5.
5. Cancellation
If a registration is canceled up to two calendar weeks before the beginning of the conference (only written cancellation is permitted), a cancellation fee amounting to 50% of the participation fee will be charged. If the registration is canceled after this time, the entire participation fee will be charged. If a substitute participant is named promptly, no cancellation fee will be charged.
6. Copyright
The conference documents are protected by copyright. Copying, distribution or use of the conference documents for other purposes will be permitted only with the specific written authorization of the Organizers.
7. Liability
The presentations at the conference events are carefully prepared and conducted by well-qualified authors and speakers. The Organizers do not accept any responsibility for the timeliness, correctness or completeness of the documents for the conference events or for the staging of the events.
8. Place of fulfillment and court of jurisdiction
German law applies to this contract. The court of jurisdiction is Mainz/Germany.
9. Data protection
SPONSORs protect personal data. SPONSORs will handle confidentially the data provided by the participants and will use this data only in compliance with the data protection regulations. Personal data are all data that are stored in connection with your name.
